ARTERNAL allows for automatic contact association when an artwork is marked as sold, linking the buyer to the artwork’s record. Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Mark the Artwork as Sold
When you mark an artwork as SOLD in the inventory.
Step 2: Add the Buyer Contact
You will be prompted to enter the contact who purchased the work. Search for and select the contact, then click Confirm.
Step 3: View the Contact in Associations
The contact will automatically appear in the Associations section, labeled as the Owner of the artwork.
Step 4: Update Ownership for Future Sales
If the artwork is sold again, repeat steps 1-3. The previous buyer will be labeled as the Previous Owner, and the new buyer will become the current Owner.
Optional: Enabling or Disabling Automatic Association
If this feature is not working or you’d like to disable it, go to Settings > Inventory under the Organization section, and toggle the option on or off as needed.
