How to Clean Up and Manage Contact Tags and Roles

Learn how to clean up duplicate or redundant contact tags and roles in ARTERNAL by deleting or merging them in your settings.

If you have duplicate or redundant tags or roles in your contacts, follow these steps to clean them up in your settings:

Step 1: Access Tags and Roles Settings

  • Click the Profile in the bottom left corner > select Settings > select Tags > choose Contact Tags or Contact Roles.

Step 2: Delete a Tag or Role

  • To delete a tag or role, hover over the tag or role, and two buttons will appear on the right. Select the trash can icon to delete.

Note: Once deleted, the tag or role will also be removed from any contacts that have it.

Step 3: Edit Duplicate Tags or Roles

  • If you have duplicates caused by typos or case differences, hover over one of the tags or roles and click the edit button.

Step 4: Update and Merge

  • Enter the new name for the tag or role, then click Update. ARTERNAL will automatically merge duplicate entries.
