If you have duplicate or redundant tags or roles in your contacts, you can easily clean it up in your settings, and here is how to do it:

1. Click the little circle with your initial in the bottom left corner > select Settings > select Tags > select Contact Tags or Contact Roles

2. To delete a tag or role, hover over the tag or role with your curser, and you will see two buttons showing up on the right. Select the trash can icon to delete.

Please note that after the tag or role is deleted in your settings, it will be removed from the contacts who have the tag or role too.

3. If you have duplicate tags or roles, whether it was caused by typo or lowercase/uppercase, you can hover over one of the tags or roles, click the edit button.

4. Then you will be prompted to enter a new name, and click UPDATE.

5. After that, it will automatically merge the ones that are the same.
