A step-by-step walk-through of your first day on ArtHelper: upload a piece of art, draft a title and description with AI, render a room mockup, make your first community post, and connect with an artist you admire.

Getting Started with ArtHelper: Day-One Onboarding Guide

Welcome to ArtHelper! This guide walks you through setting up your account, uploading your first piece, rendering mockups, and engaging with the community—all in about 30 minutes.

Returning Users Note: If you have an existing account or previously started setup, you will see a personalized "Welcome back" message upon logging in. Your past activity is preserved, allowing you to resume seamlessly.

Onboarding Steps

Step 1: Upload Your First Artwork

All AI tools and room visualizations rely on an uploaded image.

  1. Log in at arthelper.com and go to My Artwork via the left sidebar.

  2. Click Add Artwork.

  3. Desktop: Drag and drop your image files. Mobile/Tablet: Tap Upload an Image to select files from your device.

  4. Click the image thumbnail once processing completes to open the artwork panel.

  • Photo Tip: Use even daylight, fill the frame, and shoot straight-on using high-resolution JPG or PNG formats for optimal rendering results.

Step 2: Generate AI Title & Description

ArtHelper analyzes your artwork visually to write titles, descriptions, and tags.

  1. Click Edit details near the top of the artwork panel.

  2. Click the Wand Icon next to the Title field to generate a draft.

  3. Click Suggest changes to provide feedback (e.g., "Make it shorter" or "Focus on the blue hues").

  4. Click Use to apply the text, then repeat for the Description field.

  5. Click Save.

Pro Tip: The Wand Icon is available across profile bios, artist statements, and social captions. Click the wand, provide quick feedback if needed, and select Use. Learn more in the AI Content Generation guide.

Step 3: Render Room Mockups

Visualize your art on walls in virtual living rooms, bedrooms, or galleries.

  1. In the artwork panel, select the Mockups tab.

  2. Filter options by searching keywords (e.g., bedroom, sofa, blue).

  3. Select a thumbnail to render your piece into the room scene.

  4. Click Save to keep it in your gallery, or click the Download Icon to save a high-resolution file.

Step 4: Share in the Community

Introduce your work to other artists on the platform.

  1. Select Community from the left sidebar and click Create Post.

  2. Select a channel from the Community dropdown (e.g., Show Your Work).

  3. Click the Image tab, add a title, and click + Add images to attach your uploaded art.

  4. Add a short 1–2 sentence caption and click Post.

You can attach up to 10 images per post to showcase a full series or progress shots.

Step 5: Follow & Connect with an Artist

  1. Browse the community feed and select an artist’s name or avatar to open their public profile.

  2. Click Follow to see their future public updates in your primary feed.

  3. Click Connect to open a dialog, add a short introductory note, and submit a connection request.

  4. Once accepted, you can exchange private direct messages via Messages.

Quests & Rep Rewards

Quests are optional guided tasks designed to help you explore key features while earning Rep points for the community Leaderboard.

  • How to Access: Look for the quest indicator on your dashboard during your initial session.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to complete all setup steps today?

No. You can pause at any step—your uploaded files, draft metadata, and saved room mockups are saved automatically.

What if the generated AI content doesn't match my tone?

AI accuracy improves as you provide background information. Complete your profile bio, update your artist statement, and adjust preferred communication styles under Settings → Assistant.

Why aren't Sparks appearing on my artwork page?

Sparks require complete file processing to function. Confirm that your image upload has finished, or refresh your browser page.

How do I handle support issues or feature requests?

Click Feedback in the left sidebar to open a direct submission form for bugs, ideas, or feedback.
