Signing in, password resets, and account access

How to sign in to ArtHelper, reset a forgotten password, change the email on your account, and what to do if you can't get back in.

Written by Shelby

If you're having trouble signing in — wrong password, can't remember which email you used, or you signed up one way and now want to sign in another way — this article walks through every common case.## The two ways to sign inArtHelper supports two sign-in methods. Both end up on the same account.- **Continue with Google** — you click the Google button and pick your Google account. No password needed.- **Email + password** — you type the email address you used to sign up and the password you chose.Whichever method you used the first time is the one ArtHelper expects you to use again. If you signed up with Google, you don't have a password — you can only sign in with the Google button. If you signed up with email and password, you can't sign in with Google unless you set that up later.**Important:** If you sign up with a different method than you used originally, ArtHelper will create a **separate, new account**. For example, if you signed up with Google (`you@gmail.com`) and later try signing in with email + password using that same email address, the system treats it as a brand-new signup and you'll see the Welcome page instead of your existing artwork. See the troubleshooting section below if this happens to you.## Troubleshooting: "I see 'Get Started' or the Welcome wizard, but I already have an account"This is the most common thing users contact us about. You sign in successfully, but instead of your dashboard you land on the **Get Started / Welcome screen** — an onboarding wizard that asks you a few setup questions, or the same survey shows up again and again.**First, don't worry: in almost every case this is NOT a new account, and your artwork is safe.** You're signed into your real account — ArtHelper has simply returned you to the onboarding wizard and is waiting for you to finish it before it takes you to your dashboard.### What to do1. **Complete the wizard steps — don't just refresh the page.** Refreshing or closing the tab won't get you past this screen, and it usually drops you right back at the same step. You need to actually go **through** the setup questions: - Answer the setup questions the wizard asks (for example, what kind of art you make and what you want to do on ArtHelper). - When it asks you to add your first artwork, you can add one **or** choose the **Skip** option — either one lets you continue. - Keep going until you reach the **Finish** / **Done** step at the end.2. **After you finish the wizard, you'll land on your dashboard** — and your existing artwork and posts will be there, exactly as you left them.3. **Do NOT create a second account to get around this screen.** Signing up again (or signing in with a different method) creates a separate, empty account — which is what causes the "I now have two profiles" problem. Finishing the wizard on the account you're already in is the fix.### If your artwork is still missing after finishing the wizard — get help from our teamIf you complete the wizard and land on your dashboard but your gallery is still empty, **stop and contact our support team rather than trying more sign-in methods.** This is the clear next step:- **Email** [support@arthelper.com](mailto:support@arthelper.com), **or** open the **chat** (the message bubble in the bottom-right corner of the app) to reach a real person on our team. - Include these details so we can find your account quickly: - The email address you believe you used to sign up. - Whether you signed up with **Google** or **email + password** (if you remember). - Roughly when you created your account, and anything you uploaded (artwork, posts). - We'll look up your account, confirm which sign-in method it uses, and get you back to your original artwork. **Please don't create another account while you wait** — it only makes it harder to sort out.If, after finishing the wizard, you're sure you're in a different (empty) account than the one holding your artwork, the sections below explain how that happens and how we fix it.## If you forgot your password1. Go to [arthelper.com/signin](https://www.arthelper.com/signin).2. Type your email address in the email field.3. Click **Forgot password?** just below the password box.4. Check your inbox. You'll get an email with a reset link within a minute or two. If it doesn't arrive, check your spam folder.5. Click the link, set a new password, and you're back in.**Tip:** If the reset email doesn't arrive within five minutes, the most common reason is that the email you typed isn't the one your account uses. Try common variations (a Gmail vs Yahoo, with or without a number, etc.) or contact support.## If your password is rejected but you're receiving account emailsIf ArtHelper is sending you emails (notifications, newsletters, updates) but your password doesn't work when you try to sign in, this means **your account exists and is active, but the password you're entering is incorrect**. Many users assume the password they're typing is right, but the system is telling you it's not matching what's on file.### What to do1. **Use the 'Forgot password' flow** even if you think you know your password: - Go to [arthelper.com/signin](https://www.arthelper.com/signin). - Type your email address. - Click **Forgot password?** below the password field. - Check your inbox for the password reset email.2. **Check your spam folder** if the reset email doesn't arrive within a few minutes. Sometimes email filters catch password reset messages.3. **If you still can't receive the reset email**, verify you're using the exact email address where you're receiving ArtHelper notifications. If the reset email won't arrive even after checking spam, contact support at [support@arthelper.com](mailto:support@arthelper.com) with your account email address.**Common mix-up:** "I can't remember my password" and "my password is rejected" both have the same fix (use the Forgot password flow), but if you're certain your password is correct and it's still being rejected, that's a sign you may be misremembering it or using an old password you've since changed. The reset flow is always the safest way to regain access.## If "wrong password" keeps appearingThis usually means one of three things:1. You signed up with Google originally, so there is no password — only the Google button works. Try **Continue with Google** instead.2. You're typing the right password but the wrong email — the system can't tell you which is wrong, just that the combination doesn't match. Try Forgot password? on each email you think you might have used.3. Your account was deactivated (rare). If neither of the above works, contact support and we'll check.## How to change the email on your account1. Sign in, then go to [app.arthelper.ai/settings](https://app.arthelper.ai/settings).2. Find the **Account** section. Your current email is shown at the top.3. Click **Change email**, type the new one, and click **Send verification**.4. Open the verification email at the new address and click the link inside. The change is applied immediately and your old email no longer signs you in.**Important:** If you signed up with Google, your account email is your Google email — you can't change it without first unlinking Google and setting up an email + password sign-in method. Contact support if you want to do this.## Adding a second email address to your accountArtHelper accounts currently support **one primary email address** — the email you used when you signed up. This email is used for:- Signing in (if you use email + password) - All account notifications and updates - Password resets - Account recovery**ArtHelper does not currently support adding a secondary email address for notifications or login flexibility.** You cannot have two different email addresses on the same account that both work for signing in or receiving notifications.### If you need to use a different emailIf you want to switch to a different email address entirely, you can **change your primary email** in Account Settings:1. Sign in and go to [app.arthelper.ai/settings](https://app.arthelper.ai/settings). 2. In the **Account** section, click **Change email**. 3. Enter the new email address and verify it. 4. Once verified, your old email will no longer work for signing in — only the new one will.**Note:** If you signed up with Google, your account email is tied to your Google account. To change it, you'll need to unlink Google and set up email + password sign-in first. Contact support at [support@arthelper.com](mailto:support@arthelper.com) if you need help with this.If you were hoping to have two emails that both receive notifications or both work for login, that's not currently possible — but you can contact support to request this feature for future updates.## If you keep getting logged outIf ArtHelper signs you out every few minutes or every time you switch tabs, the most common culprit is your browser. Try these in order:1. Make sure your browser allows third-party cookies for *arthelper.com* and *app.arthelper.ai*. Strict tracking-protection settings (Brave, Safari, some extensions) can break sign-in.2. Pause browser extensions one at a time, especially ad blockers, privacy extensions, and Pinterest. Sign-in works without them; sometimes one is too aggressive.3. Try a different browser or an incognito/private window. If it works there, the issue is your normal browser's settings.4. If you're on a corporate or school network, the network firewall may be blocking the auth cookies. Try a different network (your phone hotspot) to confirm.## Troubleshooting: "I'm being logged into a new account instead of my existing one"If you've finished the onboarding wizard (see the first troubleshooting section above) and your gallery is still empty when you know you had artwork saved, you may have signed in with a **different method** than you used originally — which creates a separate new account.### Step 1: Check which sign-in method you used originally- **Did you sign up with Google?** You must use the **Continue with Google** button. Typing that same Gmail address into the email + password fields will create a brand-new account, not access your original one.- **Did you sign up with email + password?** You must type that email and password into the email + password fields. Clicking **Continue with Google** (even with the same email) will create a separate account. If you can't remember which method you used, try both — but try the **Continue with Google** button first, as that's the most common original signup method.### Step 2: Try signing in with "Continue with Google"If you originally signed up with Google (even if you don't remember doing so):1. Go to [arthelper.com/signin](https://www.arthelper.com/signin).2. Click the **Continue with Google** button at the top.3. Select the Google account you think you used originally.4. If your artwork appears, that was your original sign-in method. Bookmark this method or make a note so you remember for next time.If you see your artwork after using Google, the email + password account you may have just created is empty and separate. You can ignore it or contact support to have it deleted.### Step 3: If you still see the Welcome page or empty galleryIf neither sign-in method shows your artwork, try these steps:1. **Clear your browser cache and cookies:** - **Chrome:** Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → check "Cookies" and "Cached images" → Clear data. - **Firefox:** Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data. - **Safari:** Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data → Remove All. - **Edge:** Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Clear browsing data → Choose what to clear → check "Cookies" and "Cached images and files" → Clear now.2. **Try an incognito or private browsing window:** - Chrome/Edge: Ctrl+Shift+N (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+N (Mac). - Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+P (Mac). - Safari: File → New Private Window. - Sign in again using the method you think you used originally.3. **Check if you used a different email address:** You might have signed up with a work email, personal email, or an old email you don't use anymore. Try signing in with each email you've ever used.4. **Contact support with your original email:** If none of the above works, email support@arthelper.com with: - The email address you believe you used to sign up. - Approximate date you created your account. - Any details you remember (artwork you uploaded, posts you made, etc.). - Whether you think you signed up with Google or email + password. We can look up your account and confirm which sign-in method it uses.### Understanding multiple accounts: Google vs email signupArtHelper allows the same email address to have **two separate accounts** if you sign up with different methods:- **Account 1:** `you@gmail.com` signed up with Google → has all your artwork. - **Account 2:** `you@gmail.com` signed up with email + password → empty, just created. These are completely separate. Your artwork lives in whichever account you created first. To access your artwork, you must sign in the same way you did originally.**How to tell which account has your artwork:**1. Sign in with **Continue with Google** and check if your gallery has artwork. 2. Sign out, then sign in with **email + password** and check if your gallery has artwork. 3. Whichever method shows your artwork is your original account. If you created a second account by accident and want to merge them, contact support — we can move everything into one account for you.## Troubleshooting: "I keep being redirected to the Welcome page"If you sign in successfully but ArtHelper keeps bouncing you back to the Welcome page or onboarding screen, first make sure you've **completed the onboarding wizard** (see the first troubleshooting section above) — for most people, finishing those setup steps is what clears this. If you've finished the wizard and still get bounced back, this is usually a session or authentication issue caused by your browser.### Clear your browser cache and cookies (all browsers)Stale authentication cookies are the most common cause. Clear them completely:**Chrome:** 1. Click the three-dot menu (top right) → Settings. 2. Privacy and security → Clear browsing data. 3. Select **All time** from the time range dropdown. 4. Check **Cookies and other site data** and **Cached images and files**. 5. Click **Clear data**. 6. Restart Chrome and sign in again.**Firefox:** 1. Click the three-line menu (top right) → Settings. 2. Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → **Clear Data**. 3. Check both **Cookies and Site Data** and **Cached Web Content**. 4. Click **Clear**. 5. Restart Firefox and sign in again.**Safari:** 1. Safari menu → Preferences → Privacy. 2. Click **Manage Website Data**. 3. Search for "arthelper" and remove those entries, or click **Remove All**. 4. Go to Develop menu → Empty Caches (if Develop menu is hidden, enable it in Preferences → Advanced). 5. Restart Safari and sign in again.**Edge:** 1. Click the three-dot menu (top right) → Settings. 2. Privacy, search, and services → **Choose what to clear** (under Clear browsing data). 3. Select **All time** from the time range dropdown. 4. Check **Cookies and other site data** and **Cached images and files**. 5. Click **Clear now**. 6. Restart Edge and sign in again.### Try incognito/private modeIf clearing cache doesn't work, test in a private window:- Chrome/Edge: Press Ctrl+Shift+N (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+N (Mac). - Firefox: Press Ctrl+Shift+P (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+P (Mac). - Safari: File menu → New Private Window.Sign in to ArtHelper. If it works in private mode but not in your normal browser, the issue is a browser extension or a setting in your normal browser. Try:1. Disabling all extensions temporarily and signing in again. 2. Checking if your browser is set to block third-party cookies (see "If you keep getting logged out" section above).### If the problem persistsIf you've cleared cache, tried incognito, and still get redirected to the Welcome page:1. **Try a completely different browser** (e.g., if you're using Chrome, try Firefox). If it works in a different browser, the issue is specific to your original browser's configuration.2. **Contact support** at support@arthelper.com with: - The browser and version you're using (e.g., Chrome 120, Safari 17). - Whether the issue happens in incognito mode. - Whether it happens in a different browser. - Your account email address.## If you're stuck in a redirect loop to account setupSome users report signing in successfully as an **existing user with artwork already uploaded**, but instead of landing on their dashboard, they get sent straight to the onboarding or account setup screen — and **completing that setup still loops them back to the same screen** instead of taking them to their dashboard. This is different from the "Welcome wizard" issue above (where finishing the wizard fixes it). If you're experiencing a true redirect loop where nothing you do gets you past setup, this indicates a session or authentication problem.### What's happeningYour account exists and your sign-in credentials are correct, but the app's session state is confused — it thinks you're a brand-new user who hasn't finished setup, even though you have. This is almost always caused by:- Stale or conflicting authentication cookies in your browser - A browser extension interfering with session cookies - A mismatch between the login system and your session state### Step 1: Clear browser cache and cookies for arthelper.comFollow the detailed instructions in the "Clear your browser cache and cookies" section above. Make sure you:- Select **All time** as the time range (not just "last hour" or "last day") - Check both **Cookies** and **Cached images/files** - Restart your browser completely after clearingThen try signing in again.### Step 2: Try incognito or private browsing modeIf clearing cache doesn't work:1. Open an incognito/private window: - **Chrome/Edge:** Ctrl+Shift+N (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+N (Mac) - **Firefox:** Ctrl+Shift+P (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+P (Mac) - **Safari:** File → New Private Window2. Go to [arthelper.com/signin](https://www.arthelper.com/signin) in the private window.3. Sign in using the same method you normally use (Google or email + password). If it works in incognito mode but not in your normal browser, the issue is a browser extension or a cookie/cache problem in your normal browser. Try disabling extensions one by one (especially ad blockers, privacy tools, and Pinterest) and clearing cookies again.### Step 3: Important — Art Storefronts vs ArtHelper credentialsIf you also use **Art Storefronts (ASF)** and you're trying to sign into ArtHelper:**ArtHelper and Art Storefronts are separate platforms with separate login systems.** You cannot use your Art Storefronts username and password to sign into ArtHelper, even if you use the same email address for both.- If you have an **Art Storefronts account** and you're trying to access **ArtHelper** for the first time, you need to **sign up for ArtHelper separately**. Go to [arthelper.com/signup](https://www.arthelper.com/signup) and create a new ArtHelper account (you can use the same email if you want, but you'll set a separate password).- If you **already have an ArtHelper account** but you've been trying to sign in with your Art Storefronts credentials, that won't work. Use the **Forgot password** link on the ArtHelper sign-in page to reset your ArtHelper password, or sign in with Google if that's how you originally signed up for ArtHelper.### Step 4: Contact support if you're still stuckIf you've tried all of the above and you're still stuck in the redirect loop:1. Email [support@arthelper.com](mailto:support@arthelper.com) or use the chat in the bottom-right corner of the app.2. Include these details: - Your account email address - The browser and version you're using - Whether clearing cache and incognito mode worked or didn't work - Whether you also have an Art Storefronts account (if applicable) - A description of what happens when you sign in (e.g., "I sign in, land on the setup page, complete it, and get sent back to the same setup page again")We'll check your account's session state and get you unstuck.## Common questions### I signed up with Google — can I also set a password?Yes, but only by contacting support. Once set, you'll have both sign-in methods available.### I have two ArtHelper accounts by accident. How do I merge them?We can merge accounts on request. Contact support and tell us which email should be the "keeper" and which should be merged in. We move all artwork and posts from the second account into the first.### Why does ArtHelper ask me to sign in again on a different page? The community section (arthelper.com) and the logged-in app (app.arthelper.ai) use the same account but live on different domains. Sometimes the browser asks you to sign in once more when you cross between them. After that one extra sign-in, both sides stay signed in.### I deleted my account by mistake — can it be restored?Yes, within 30 days of deletion. Contact support with the email you used and we'll restore the account. After 30 days everything is permanently removed and we cannot recover it.
