# Recommended Connections Digest — Artist Recommendations Every Two WeeksArtHelper sends you an email every two weeks with artists we think you'd like to connect with, based on your work, your activity, and who you're already connected to.## What you'll see in the digestEach digest includes:- **3–5 artist profiles** whose work is like yours in some way — a similar medium, subject, location, or style. - **A preview of their recent work** — one or two pieces from their portfolio. - **Why we're recommending them** — a short note on what we noticed that made the match (for example, "You both work in large-scale abstract oil painting"). - **A one-click Connect button** — send a connection request straight from the email. The recommendations change each time. We won't show you the same artist again unless you skip them and they turn out to be a closer match later.## How often you'll receive itBy default, the digest arrives **every two weeks**.Everyone receives their digest on a different day and time — there's no fixed day for it. Whatever day yours arrives, the next one comes two weeks later. You can change how often it comes, or turn it off:1. Click your **profile photo** in the top-right corner, then click **Settings**. 2. Click **Notifications** in the menu. 3. Scroll down to **Community & Connections**. 4. Find **Recommended Connections Digest** and choose one: - **Every 2 weeks** (this is the default) - **Monthly** - **Off**Your choice takes effect right away.## How we pick the artistsTo find good matches, we look at:- **The artwork you've uploaded** — the medium, subject, colors, and style. - **Artists you've already connected with** — so we can find other artists like the ones you already enjoy. - **Your location and activity** — if you take part in local communities or certain topics, we'll show you more artists in that area. - **Human-Made Art verification** — if you're verified, we show you more verified artists first. We won't recommend artists you're already connected to, or artists you've chosen to skip in an earlier digest.## What to do when you see a recommendation**To connect:**1. Click **Send Connect Request** in the email. 2. This opens the artist's profile, and your connection request has already been sent. 3. If they accept, you can send them a message.**To skip an artist:**Just ignore the recommendation. We won't show that artist again unless your work becomes a closer match later (for example, if you both start working in a new medium).**To look at their full profile first:**Click the artist's name or photo to open their profile on ArtHelper. You can look through their gallery, read their artist statement, and then decide whether to connect.## Turning the digest offIf you don't want connection recommendations:1. Click your **profile photo** in the top-right corner, then click **Settings**. 2. Click **Notifications**, then scroll to **Community & Connections**. 3. Find **Recommended Connections Digest** and set it to **Off**.Or click **Unsubscribe** at the very bottom of any digest email. You can turn it back on anytime from the same Notifications page.## Troubleshooting**I'm not receiving the digest, but it's turned on in my settings:**- Remember the digest comes **every two weeks**, and everyone gets it on a different day — so it's normal to go up to two weeks between emails. - Check your spam or junk folder. If you use Gmail, also look in the **Promotions** tab at the top of your inbox. When you find an ArtHelper email there, mark it as **"Not spam"** so future digests come straight to your inbox. - Make sure your email address is correct. Click your **profile photo**, then **Settings**, then **Account**, and check the email listed there. - If you joined ArtHelper recently, your first digest may take a couple of weeks to arrive while we get to know the kind of art you make.**The recommendations don't match my work:**The matches get better over time as you:- Upload more artwork (the more we see, the better we can match you). - Connect with artists whose work you admire (we learn from your choices). - Take part in community posts and comments (we notice which topics and styles you respond to).If the matches still seem off after a month, [contact support](https://arthelper.com/support) and share a few examples of artists whose work *does* feel like yours. We'll adjust your recommendations by hand.**I keep seeing the same artists in every digest:**This shouldn't happen. If it does, please [contact support](https://arthelper.com/support) with the artist names, and we'll fix it.---**Related:**- [Following other artists vs Connecting — when to use which](https://arthelper.com/help/community/following-vs-connecting) - [ArtHelper Community: Understanding Your Connections, Network, and Messages](https://arthelper.com/help/community/connections-network-messages) - [Adjusting your email and in-app notifications](https://arthelper.com/help/notifications-and-settings/notification-settings)
