Recommended Connections Digest: Bi-Weekly Artist Recommendations
The Recommended Connections Digest delivers personalized artist suggestions directly to your inbox every two weeks, helping you discover creators with complementary styles, mediums, and interests.
What’s Included in Each Digest
Every email highlights personalized matches with actionable previews:
3–5 Artist Profiles: Creators selected based on shared medium, subject, location, or style.
Portfolio Preview: 1–2 featured artwork samples from each recommended artist.
Match Explanation: A brief summary detailing why the connection was suggested (e.g., "You both work in large-scale abstract oil painting").
One-Click Connect: Send a connection request directly from the email without opening extra pages.
How Artists Are Selected
Recommendations prioritize active ArtHelper members who are likely to accept connection requests, using a tailored algorithm based on four criteria:

Note: Connected artists and previously skipped recommendations are automatically excluded from future digests unless substantial portfolio changes occur.
Digest Delivery & Frequency Settings
The digest operates on a rolling schedule— delivery dates vary by user, with exactly two weeks between consecutive emails.

Changing Frequency or Unsubscribing
Click your Profile Photo (top-right corner) and select Settings.
Navigate to Notifications $\rightarrow$ Community & Connections.
Locate Recommended Connections Digest and select your preferred setting (Every 2 weeks, Monthly, or Off).
Alternatively, click Unsubscribe at the bottom of any digest email.
Taking Action on Recommendations
Send a Request: Click Send Connect Request in the email. This opens the artist's profile on ArtHelper with the request pre-sent.
Review Profile First: Click the artist’s name or avatar to view their gallery, artist statement, and full portfolio before connecting.
Skip an Artist: Ignore the recommendation. The artist will not appear in future digests unless your artistic profiles become a closer match down the line.
Troubleshooting
Missing Digest Emails
Timing: Allow up to two full weeks between emails, as delivery dates vary per user. New members may wait up to two weeks for their initial digest while the system processes portfolio data.
Spam & Filters: Check your Spam, Junk, or Gmail Promotions tab. Mark ArtHelper emails as "Not Spam" to ensure direct inbox delivery.
Account Email: Confirm your registered address under Settings $\rightarrow$ Account.
Mismatched Recommendations
Algorithm accuracy improves as you engage with the platform. To refine your suggestions:
Upload more artwork samples to provide clearer style data.
Connect with artists whose work reflects your preferences.
Participate in relevant community posts and discussions.
If matches remain irrelevant after a month—or if you repeatedly see the same artist—contact ArtHelper Support.
