A post in Social AutoPoster starts with a picture, not a blank box. You pick the artwork, we draft the words in your voice, you change anything that does not sound like you, and then you either send it now or give it a time.Connect at least one account on [Channels](https://autoposter.arthelper.com/channels) before you start, or there will be nowhere for the post to go.## Make a post1. Press **New post** at the top of the menu, or open [My Art](https://autoposter.arthelper.com/media), hover a picture and press **Create post** to start with that piece already chosen.2. **Choose what you are making** — one piece of your work, or several together.3. **Pick your artwork.** Drag the pictures to change the order they appear in.4. **Choose where it goes.** Tick each account you want this post to appear on. You must tick at least one.5. **Read the caption we wrote.** Change anything that does not sound like you — this is the step worth slowing down for.6. **Send it or schedule it.** Press **Post now** to publish within about a minute, or give it a date and time.💡 **Tip:** If a caption is consistently not your voice, fix it once on [Voices](https://autoposter.arthelper.com/voices) rather than rewriting every post. Words you add there — and words you ban — apply to everything written afterwards.## What each site will acceptWe hold you to each site's own limits as you write, so nothing is rejected after the fact.- **Instagram** — up to 2,200 characters, 30 hashtags, and either 10 pictures or one video.- **Facebook** — a very long caption if you want one, and up to 10 pictures. Facebook does not take video from us.- **LinkedIn** — up to 3,000 characters and one picture, up to 15 MB.- **Bluesky** — 300 characters only, and up to 4 pictures at 1 MB each. Hashtags count towards the 300, and an emoji or an accented letter can count as more than one character, so it runs out faster than you expect.Posting the same thing to several sites at once is fine. If your caption is too long for the shortest one, we tell you which site is the problem while you are still writing.## Give a post a time1. On the last step, choose **a date and time** instead of **Post now**.2. **Check your time zone** in [Settings](https://autoposter.arthelper.com/settings). Everything runs on that clock, so if it is wrong every post goes out at the wrong hour.3. The post appears on your [Calendar](https://autoposter.arthelper.com/calendar) on the day it will publish.## Finding your scheduled posts after you publishOnce you schedule a post, it lives in [Calendar](https://autoposter.arthelper.com/calendar) view until it publishes. Your queue shows:- The **date and time** each post will go out - **Platform icons** for where it will publish (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Bluesky) - A **preview** of the caption and artworkTo **edit or delete** a queued post before it goes live:1. Open [Calendar](https://autoposter.arthelper.com/calendar) 2. Press the post you want to change 3. Edit the caption, change the date and time, or delete it entirely — any time before it publishesMoving a post to a new time never uses up an extra post from your monthly allowance.## Change or remove a post before it goes1. Open [Calendar](https://autoposter.arthelper.com/calendar).2. Press the post you want to change.3. Edit the caption, move it to a different date and time, or delete it — any time before it publishes.Moving a post to a new time never uses up an extra post from your monthly allowance.## Drafts — started, but no time yetA post you have written but not scheduled waits on [Drafts](https://autoposter.arthelper.com/drafts). There is no limit on drafts, and writing them costs you nothing — you can pile up a month of posts and decide later which ones to send.## Common questions### Can I post to Instagram and Facebook at the same time?Yes — tick both on the "where it goes" step. Anything connected on [Channels](https://autoposter.arthelper.com/channels) can be ticked.### Does ArtHelper support Facebook posting?Yes. Facebook posting **is** available, but you need a **Facebook Page** (not a personal profile). Personal Facebook accounts cannot be used for scheduled posting. To set up Facebook:1. Make sure you have a Facebook Page for your art (create one from your personal Facebook if you don't) 2. Go to [Channels](https://autoposter.arthelper.com/channels) and connect Facebook 3. Follow the steps in [Connecting Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Bluesky](https://help.arthelper.com/en/articles/connecting-instagram-facebook-linkedin-bluesky) for detailed setup instructions**Cross-posting Instagram reels to Facebook:** This happens automatically through Instagram's native settings, not from ArtHelper directly. Enable the cross-post toggle in the Instagram app when you set up your reel, and Instagram will send it to your connected Facebook Page.### My post went out at the wrong time.Your time zone in [Settings](https://autoposter.arthelper.com/settings) is almost certainly not where you actually are. Fix it there, and check anything already on the Calendar, since those were scheduled on the old clock.### How far ahead can I schedule? As far as you like. Most artists who post steadily plan one or two weeks out — far enough to be ready, close enough to still change their mind.### Can I use my own words instead of the caption you wrote?Yes. Delete ours and type yours. Nothing is locked.### Can I post a video? To Instagram, yes — one video per post. Facebook, LinkedIn and Bluesky take pictures only from us.### A scheduled post did not publish. What do I check?Open [Channels](https://autoposter.arthelper.com/channels) and look at that account. If it says it needs reconnecting, press **Disconnect** then **Connect** — expired permission is the usual cause. Then open the post on your [Calendar](https://autoposter.arthelper.com/calendar) and send it again. A post that failed does not count against your monthly allowance.### Does deleting a scheduled post give me that post back?If it had not gone out yet, yes — your allowance counts posts that were actually sent.### Where do I see how a post did?On [Analytics](https://autoposter.arthelper.com/analytics), a few days after it publishes — the sites take a little while to report numbers back.## Troubleshooting### Blank page appears when posting to InstagramThis usually means your Instagram connection has expired. To fix it:1. Go to [Channels](https://autoposter.arthelper.com/channels) 2. Find Instagram and press **Disconnect** 3. Press **Connect** and authorize Instagram again 4. Try publishing your post againIf the blank page persists after reconnecting, contact support with the **post ID** from your Calendar — there may be a deeper issue we need to investigate.### AI reel crops my wide-format photography incorrectlyThe reel AI optimizes for 9:16 portrait format (vertical phone screens). For landscape or panoramic artwork, the automatic zoom often cuts off important parts of the composition.**Solutions:**- **Use the manual crop tool** before generating the reel. You control exactly what stays in frame. - **Publish as a carousel post** instead of a reel. Carousels preserve your full image and let viewers swipe through the complete artwork without cropping.Reels are built for vertical video — if your work is wide, a carousel usually shows it better.
