Art Books turns artwork you already have in ArtHelper into a digital book — an ordered, named collection with a cover — that you share with one link. Collectors, galleries and friends open it on a phone or a computer without needing an account.
It is its own app, at artbooks.arthelper.com. Sign in with the same email and password you use for ArtHelper — you will also find Art Books in the Apps menu at the top of ArtHelper.
Make a book
Open Your books.
Under Start a new book, type a name and press Create. You can rename it at any time, so do not agonise over it.
Press Choose artwork and tick the pieces you want. They come from the artwork already in your ArtHelper library — you do not upload anything twice.
Drag the pages into the order you want, or use the up and down arrows on each row.
Press View the book to see it as a reader will.
💡 Tip: There is no Save button, on purpose. The line at the top reads All changes saved, and Saving… while it is working. You can close the tab whenever you like.
Add things that are not artwork
Add artwork — upload a new piece without leaving the book. It goes into your ArtHelper library too.
Add other image — a photo that belongs in the book but is not one of your works: an installation shot, or you at an opening. It never appears in My Artwork and is never counted as one of your pieces.
+ Add a section — a divider with a heading, to group a book into chapters.
Extra pages — switch on an About the artist page, built from the bio on your ArtHelper profile.
You can also include a piece hung in a photographed room. In the artwork picker, switch What to show from Art to In a room.
Choose how it looks
All of this is on the same page, and you can change any of it later.
Design — five looks: Gallery, Atelier, Monograph, Studio, Playroom.
Layout — Plate puts a work alone on its page; Catalogue faces each work with its own details page.
Shape — Automatic, Portrait, Landscape or Square.
On the page — Centred, Hung, or Full bleed.
The cover can be Your photo, A work, or Title only. The star on any row puts that piece on the cover.
⚠️ Important: Full bleed is the only setting that crops your work. Everything else shows each piece whole. If a piece looks cut off, that is the setting to change.
Share it
On Your books, press the share button on the book, or open the book and press Share this book.
Press Copy link on a computer, or Text it on a phone. There are also buttons for Facebook, X, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Threads, Reddit, Pinterest and email.
The panel also shows a QR code you can print for a show or a studio visit.
Anyone with the link can open the book without an account. It is unlisted, not public — there is no directory, nobody can browse to it, and it will not turn up in a search engine. Only people you give the link to can see it.
Common questions
Can I get a PDF, or order a printed book?
No. Art Books is a shareable link, not a print product — there is no PDF export and no printing. Send the link.
How many pieces can one book hold?
Up to 200 works in one book. If you need more than that, make a second book — there is no limit on how many books you have.
Do I have to upload my art again?
No. It reads the artwork already in your ArtHelper library. If you do upload here, it lands in that same library.
What picture files can I upload?
JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP and AVIF, between 10 KB and 100 MB. TIFF files are not accepted here.
I just uploaded a piece and I cannot add it yet.
Give it a few seconds. A new upload has to finish processing before Add to this book appears, and the window will not close while that is running.
One of my room pages shows an empty wall.
That happens when the real-world size recorded for the piece is too large for that room to stage. Open the piece in the room picker, set a sensible height and width, and press Save.
Why does the Human-made art page say it is locked?
That page is included with a Human-Made Art subscription. Everything else in Art Books works without it.
What happens if I delete a book?
The book and its share link go away, and anyone opening the old link sees a page-not-found. Your artwork stays in ArtHelper — deleting a book never deletes art.
My book says “the artist” instead of my name.
That happens when your account has no name saved on it. Add your name in your ArtHelper account details and it will show on the book.
Can people who see my book find my other work?
The reader sees a Make your own button, which invites them to start their own ArtHelper account. It opens in a new tab so they keep their place in your book.
