How do I edit information concerning my artists?

When you add an artwork to your online catalogue, you must first enter information on the artist.

If this artist does not exist in our database yet (ie none of their artworks are on sale on Artsper), you will need to create a page for them.

You will therefore need to provide a name, surname, year of birth, and biography, as well as a list of their exhibitions.

However, if the artist already exists on Artsper (ie some of their artworks are already on sale on Artsper), then you will simply need to enter their name and select it from the drop-down list.

If you wish to make changes to an artist who already exists on Artsper, please send an email to biographies@artsper.com, the team in charge will take care of it. You cannot change an artist’s information or profile picture yourself.

As the same artist can be represented on Artsper by several galleries and we don't allow a gallery to directly edit information about artists whose are also represented by other galleries on Artsper.
Moreover, we put a considerable amount of effort into providing high-quality biographies for each artist, written in both French and English according to a specific format.

These texts take a lot of time to write and are tailored to Artsper, therefore we do not want galleries to change these texts without our knowledge. Nevertheless, we are open to suggestions and we encourage you to provide additional information that you may have on artists or to share your ideas with us.

Concerning profile pictures, these must always be artworks that are available online. If you do not like the picture shown, you may suggest a different one.

For any requests about biographies or images, please send an email to biographies@artsper.com
