Depending on whether you choose the Fertility Test for Women Complete or Starter, this table should help you understand when you should schedule your collection:

Arva Complete Fertility Test

Arva Starter Fertility Test

During your menstrual cycle, on Day 2 or Day 3 of your period.

Any day

But don't worry about getting it right, we automatically take care of this process for you during our booking :)

Why is Day2/Day 3 testing important?

Hormone levels vary throughout your menstrual cycle and Day 2 and Day 3 provides a stable baseline for accurate interpretation.

This allows us to:

  1. Compare your results to established reference ranges

  2. Ensure consistency between tests

  3. Provide the most reliable assessment of your fertility hormones

We recommend scheduling your sample collection on day 2 or day 3 of your cycle when possible. This timing gives us the clearest picture of your hormonal health and fertility potential.

How do I figure out when Day 3 of my cycle is?

When you first start bleeding for your period, mark that as Day 1. (Note: spotting does not count as the first day. The first day of your period is the first day that you experience your full flow). Take your blood sample on the 2nd or 3rd day of your period. If you don’t get a period, you can take the test at any time.

What if I don't get a period?

If you don’t get a period, you can schedule your sample collection at any time.
