Asapty's Keyword Suggester conducts a comprehensive 360-degree search to find all relevant keywords for your app, including competitor keywords, multi-language options, common typos, and country-specific terms.
This thorough approach ensures you have the most complete and relevant keyword list for each of your apps and target countries. With Keyword Suggester, you can easily organize your findings into lists and launch highly targeted, successful campaigns. With this tool, you can maximize the relevancy of your keywords and improve the efficiency of your Apple Search Ads account performance.
How to start keyword research with Asapty Keyword Suggester
Create your starter list of keywords to guide Keyword Suggester's algorithms with a reference.
Access Keyword Suggester from its icon in your Asapty dashboard. Choose the app and the target country. Keyword Research algorithms will automatically include the keywords in all languages supported in your target country. For example, if you target users in Switzerland, Keyword Suggester will find the search terms in English, German, Italian, and French.
Tip💡: Launch dedicated keyword research for each of your target countries, even if they use the same official language, (ex.: USA and Canada, Chile and Argentina, etc). There may be local differences in search terms, spelling, slang, etc.
1. Set up your preferences
Configure your settings to determine the scope of your final keyword list. Keyword Suggester will compile the phrases based on your reference list and/or add its own recommendations.
Tip💡: For the most comprehensive results, we recommend selecting the first option that includes both your app's metadata and that of your competitors.
2. Add a starter list
Insert your starter list of keywords in the Required field. Avoid longer phrases. Instead, enter one word per line without commas and avoid repeating words. For example, instead of writing "habit tracker, track habits, create habits", enter it like this:
habit
track
create
tracker
Tip💡: Include a wider range of search terms related to all your app's features and functions. For example, if you have a photo editing app, you might include:
background
editor
edit
erase
remover
remove
collage
filter
effects
Don't forget to include common typos as well, such as:
filtr
colage
bakground
efect
By including both correct spellings and common misspellings, you'll capture a broader range of potential user searches. This comprehensive approach helps Keyword Suggester create a more diverse and effective list of keywords, potentially increasing your app's visibility in search results.
3. Refine with Negative keyword list
Asapty employs Apple Search Ads and App Store algorithms for keyword selection, resulting in a broad range of keywords at the first stage. For instance, if you include "tracker" as a keyword, you'll see various types of trackers (e.g., period, habit, fasting, running). To refine your results, you can exclude unwanted terms using negative keywords.
Add specific terms you don't want, one per line, in the negative keywords section. Each word must be entered separately on its own line. It is crucial not to use phrases. Avoid using generic words like "app," "and," "the," or "a" as negative keywords, as this may exclude relevant results. Focus on precise terms that clearly distinguish unwanted categories from your target keywords. This way you’ll be able to pinpoint the exact and most relevant keywords you need.
4. Save Required and Negatives in Keyword Library
Both Required and Negative keywords can be saved as lists in the Keyword Library, enabling convenient reuse when gathering data for other countries. To save a list:
Click the icon in the upper right corner of the Required or Negative keyword section.
Choose a name for your list and save it to the Keyword Library.
Once saved, you can access and edit these lists directly in the Keyword Library. This feature allows for efficient management and reuse of your carefully curated keyword sets across multiple campaigns or country-specific searches.
Tip💡: Keep the Negative list open in a side tab and add more keywords in the next stage of working with the Keyword Suggester.
For example, if you’re collecting keywords for a card game, the main search terms will be related to cards. However, you might also get search terms related to banking, gas station cards, or electric car charging. Remove these unnecessary search terms in the second stage by adding them to the Negative list. In this example, those terms would include words like “bank,” “banking,” “credit,” “refill,” and “fuel.”
