Instructions

1. Navigate to Asgard Labels > Label Printers (AL203000).

2. Click on New Record on the Label Printers generic inquiry.

3. Enter a Printer ID for your printer. This should be something easily recognizable.

4. Write a short Description of the printer. This could be the type of printer, the printer’s name, and/or location.

5. In the Printer Type box, from the drop-down list, depending on the printer type you have to choose between DeviceHub or Cloud Print. The printer type is the connection type of your printer.

6. In the Format ID box, from the selector, select one of the preloaded formats. Depending on the way you’ve configured your printer and the paper stock placed inside, you will need to select the corresponding format. If you do not see your desired format within the selector, you will have to navigate to the Label Formats screen (AL202000) and create your own format.

7. In the Content Type box, from the drop-down list, select one of the printer languages that are supported by Asgard Labels.

Printer Type Details

If you are using DeviceHub

If you are using Cloud Print

If you are using a DeviceHub-connected printer, in DeviceHub ID select the ID given to your DeviceHub and select your desired printer from your printer list.

If you are using Cloud Print services, perform the following steps:

8. In Asgard Cloud Print Computer selector, select the Desktop that contains the printer you would like to use for your labels.

9. In the Asgard Cloud Print Printer selector, select your desired printer

10. Click Save to save your changes

Note: The Cloud Print Specific API key text box is reserved for additional systems that may need to connect their printers to the site. For instance, in case of a printing issue, our support team may need to connect their printer to perform tests. They will use a Cloud Print Specific API key to connect their printers to your site. Thus, this text box is typically used for external users.
