Instructions
1. Navigate to Asgard Labels > Label Printers (AL203000).
2. Click on New Record on the Label Printers generic inquiry.
3. Enter a Printer ID for your printer. This should be something easily recognizable.
4. Write a short Description of the printer. This could be the type of printer, the printer’s name, and/or location.
5. In the Printer Type box, from the drop-down list, depending on the printer type you have to choose between DeviceHub or Cloud Print. The printer type is the connection type of your printer. The preference for most printer connections is Cloud Print which is a service that should be installed during the initial implementation.
6. In the Format ID box, from the selector, select one of the preloaded formats. Depending on the way you’ve configured your printer and the paper stock placed inside, you will need to select the corresponding format. If you do not see your desired format within the selector, you will have to navigate to the Label Formats screen (AL202000) and create your format.
Please ensure that the DPI in the format selected also matches the DPI of the printer.
7. In the Content Type box, from the drop-down list, select one of the printer languages that are supported by Asgard Labels. In most cases, this would be either "ZPL" or "PDF".
