Detailed process to set up Label Basic Preferences screen

Before you begin

Make sure that the latest customization projects are successfully published in your Acumatica ERP instance. To check, navigate to Customization > Profiles > Customization Projects. If the Published checkbox of the rows containing such packages are selected, then you're good to go.

PROCESS FLOW

  1. Navigate to Asgard Labels > Preferences > Label Preferences.

    Expected Result: The Label Preferences page must open.

    Refer to the screenshot below for the Label Preferences screen.

  2. In the Label Preferences page that opens, set up the needed preferences. This page is needed for the whole Asgard Labels module to function. Refer to the table below for the needed setup.

Field

Description/Function

Labelary API

The label renderer is to be used by default for label rendering operations. The system automatically fills in the correct call to the API.

Labelary API Key

The API key to the label renderer is used for label rendering operations. The system automatically fills in the correct API key.

Default Language

The default programming language in which the label template is written in and the language used by the label renderer.

Default Format

The default label format for labels.

Default Margin

The default label margin that marks the origin position for text on the label.

Nb. Of Days to Keep Old Label Files

The number of days the system should keep the label file, that is created and attached upon printing. These label files are attached in the Files menu of the screen.

Dev. Mode

A checkbox to indicate (if selected) that you are operating the solution in Developer Mode. Developer Mode is a feature that will allow you to see the ZPL output of your label model when it is rendered. As well as all the information as to from where the data is being pulled from and mapped to.

Generate Shipment 2D Barcodes

If ticked, generation of shipment 2D barcodes is enabled.

Shipment 2D model

The shipment label model that will be assigned to the packing slip report.

Packing Slip Report ID

The report form that the packing slip is placed.

Asgard Cloud Print API

A link to the Asgard Cloud API. The following link will be set by default: https://api.printnode.com

Asgard Cloud Print API Key

The default key to enter into the API.

Enable Nb Label Copies Override For:

A check box that indicates (if selected) that you can override the number of copies printed.

SO Shipment Line

A check box that indicates (if selected) that you can override the number of labels to print for each detail line on the shipment screen.

PO Receipt Line

A check box that indicates (if selected) that you can override the number of labels to print for each receipt detail line.

Note:

- In the FILES menu found in the upper right corner of the screen, the zpl files of the rendered logos and other images used in the creation of Label Models (Snippets) are stored. Upload the images to be used for creating snippets in this section.

- Delete Cache: If this function is used, the stored files are deleted from the Files to make room for newly rendered ones.
