In today's fast-paced business environment, efficiency and accuracy are crucial. Whether you're managing a warehouse, fulfilling orders, or tracking inventory, even a small error on a label can cause significant disruptions. Instead of restarting the entire printing process and wasting resources by reprinting dozens or even hundreds of labels, the ability to quickly reprint just the faulty one can make all the difference. With Asgard Labels reprinting a label is just as easy as printing the label.
How to reprint a label?
To reprint a label, navigate to the Search Print Logs screen (AL503000) under the Processes section
On the Search Print Logs process screen, you will see a myriad of filters in the summary section and a print log of labels in the detail section.
The filters are the best way to navigate the print log and find the label(s) that need to be reprinted. For instance, in the below example, by using the Inventory ID, Printer ID and User filters, we can locate the exact label that was printed for the "Acer Laptop Computer" that was printed on the "LT-Virtual" printer and printed by the "Admin".
Once the label print record is located, click on the "Record ID" to open the Print Log record for the label. On the Print Log record, all the details on the printed label will appear.
Clicking on the "Render" action button, a rendering on the printed label will appear. This is a supplementary step that can be performed to confirm that the print log selected correctly corresponds to the desired label to be reprinted.
To reprint the label, simply clicking on the "Reprint" action button will reprint the label on the original printer that had printed the label. In other words, the printer listed in the blue box in the above image.
The "Reprint To..." action button also allows the user to reprint the label, however, it gives the user the option to reprint the label on another printer.
Using the "Printer ID" selector, the user can select a new printer they wish to use to reprint the label. Once the printer is selected, clicking on the "OK" button will initiate communication with the chosen printer and start the reprinting process.
