Short answer:
A Project is like a private library shelf inside AskTuring. It’s where you store and organize a specific set of documents so AskTuring can find and use them quickly and securely to provide you with responses specific to your document set.

Full explanation:
In AskTuring, a Project is a self-contained dataset of documents grouped by a category, topic, or purpose. You might create an Index for Client Guidelines, another for IRS Revenue Rules, or one for Internal Training Materials.

When you ask AskTuring a question, it can search only the Project you’ve chosen, as long as you pick the "Chat with Index Only" option. This way, your answers are relevant, accurate, and securely contained.

Many of our users utilize multiple Projects, for example, one for each department, project, or industry vertical they work in. This keeps data clean and prevents “cross-talk” between unrelated sets of documents.

Right now, each Project is private to your account and fully isolated from other Indexes for security.

Examples:

  • A law firm keeps foreclosure statutes in one Project and HR policies in another.

  • A real estate company keeps property listings in one Project, legal contracts in another, and market research reports in a third.

  • A writer stores all past articles in one Project and new drafts in another.

  • A financial advisory firm creates separate Projects for retirement planning guides, tax strategies, and client investment portfolios.

  • A manufacturing company uses one Project for safety protocols, another for equipment manuals, and another for regulatory compliance documents.
