Short answer

Each Index is stored separately, encrypted, and only accessible to you unless you choose to share it in the future.

Full explanation

AskTuring is designed to keep your Index data private and secure at all times. Here is how we do it:

  • SOC 2 certified
Our security controls and processes meet SOC 2 standards, which are independently audited to ensure we follow strict guidelines for data security, availability, and confidentiality.

  • Index isolation
Every Index is stored separately in our system. This prevents data from one Index from being mixed with another and ensures only your Index is searched when you use it.

  • Encryption
All documents are encrypted during upload (in transit) and while stored (at rest). This means they cannot be read by unauthorized users or systems without proper credentials.

  • No AI model training
Your documents are never used to train any AI models. They are processed only to generate responses for you based on your chosen settings.

  • No LLM retention
The Large Language Models (LLMs) used in AskTuring are not allowed to retain any of your knowledge or train on it. Each query is processed in isolation, and no data is stored for future training.

  • Secure processing
When you run a query, the retrieval process happens in a protected environment that limits exposure to outside systems.

Future versions will allow you to share an Index with other users if you choose. Until then, all Indexes remain private by default.
