Short answer

Responses are as accurate as the documents in your Index.

Full explanation

AskTuring uses Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to ground responses in your Index’s information. This greatly reduces the risk of “hallucinations” by ensuring the answer is supported by real, retrieved information.

When using the “Documents only” mode, the AI does not “know” anything beyond what is in your Index. In this mode, every answer is based solely on your uploaded materials. In other modes, responses can also draw from the selected large language model’s general training data.

The system is designed to identify and use the most recent and relevant information in your Index. Every answer includes references to the source documents, so you can confirm where the information came from. Hovering over a source shows a quick snippet, while clicking the link opens the document to the exact page.

Think of the AI as a highly efficient research assistant. It can gather information quickly, but you should still verify critical or time-sensitive information, especially for regulatory requirements that may have changed.

Keeping your Index current is the best way to ensure accuracy.
