Short answer

Check the citations, source pages, and document coverage to confirm the AI’s results.

Full explanation

AskTuring’s responses are grounded in your documents when using Index Only or Index + AI modes. The AI searches across all documents in the selected Index, or within a chosen folder or file if you’ve narrowed your search.

Each answer includes:

  • Citations: Links to the exact document and page where the information was found.

  • Snippets: Hover over a citation link to preview the relevant text before opening the file.

  • Document scope: If needed, you can broaden or narrow your query to include different folders and files or even switch to a different index.

To be confident you’ve covered the topic:

  1. Review all citations in the answer.

  2. Check for coverage across multiple documents if your topic is broad.

  3. If something seems missing, rephrase or refine your question to prompt the AI to search differently.

Tips for better coverage

  • Ask follow-up questions if an answer feels incomplete.

  • Try alternative wording or related terms.

  • Search within different folders or a broader Index.

  • Combine Index + AI mode to fill in context if needed.

While AskTuring is designed to surface all relevant information, it’s still best practice to verify results, especially when accuracy or compliance is critical.
