Short answer
You can assign index-specific permissions like chat, file access, and semantic map controls, plus organization-wide permissions for managing indexes, users, and billing.
Full explanation
When inviting a new user to AskTuring, you can set their permissions in two main categories:
Index Scope permissions – Control what the user can do within a specific index:
Chat – Allows the user to ask questions and interact with the AI in that index.
Read Files – Lets the user view documents in the index.
Manage Files – Allows uploading, editing, moving, and deleting documents.
Share Files – Permits sharing files from the index with others.
Read Semantic Map – Lets the user view the semantic map terms for the index.
Manage Semantic Map – Allows adding, editing, or deleting semantic map terms.
View everyone’s chat history – Gives the user access to past chats from all users in that index.
Read Emails – Allows the user to view emails that were sent directly into the index as an alternative to uploading documents.
Manage Emails – Allows adding, editing, or deleting these emails.
Manage public interface – Controls public-facing tools connected to that index.
Organization Scope permissions – Control access and management across the entire organization:
Manage Index – Lets the user create, edit, or delete indexes.
Manage Users – Allows inviting, removing, or changing permissions for organization members.
Manage Billing – Grants access to subscription and payment settings.
