Short answer
From inside the Project, click the Upload Files button at the top of the screen. You can upload individual files or entire folders directly from your computer. Make sure you are in the correct Project before starting.
Full explanation
To upload documents in AskTuring, follow these steps:
Open the Project where you want to upload your files.
Click the + Files button at the top of the file list.
In the upload window, choose one of the following options:
Upload Files to select one or more files from your computer.
Upload Folder to add an entire folder and its contents from your computer.
Select Cloud Drive to connect to and upload from a shared service such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive.
Choose your files or folder, and confirm your selection.
The upload will begin automatically, and you can track progress in the upload status area.
Once the upload is complete, the documents are processed and become searchable within your Project. You can begin asking questions or chatting with your newly added content right away.
If you need to organize files, you can move them into Folders within the same Project after upload.
Limits
You can upload up to 100 files or 100 MB per batch, whichever comes first.
Supported file formats include PDF, DOCX, PPTX, and TXT.
Excel files (XLS or XLSX) are not supported and will not upload.
Unsupported file types will display an error message.
Upload speed and processing time depend on file size, format, and network connection.
Cloud integrations require authorization before accessing shared drives.
Tips
Always confirm you are in the correct Project before uploading, since files cannot be moved between Projects afterward.
Convert spreadsheets or structured data into PDF or TXT formats before uploading, if needed for reference.
If uploading from a cloud drive, organize your files beforehand to make selection faster and easier.
For large uploads, split them into smaller groups to speed up processing.
Once uploaded, use Focus On mode or Chat with Project Only to target your new files when asking questions.
