Short answer
Collections are shared resources that are available to all AskTuring users. You can browse available Collections in the Community tab, save the ones you want to your account, and access them anytime from your Saved Collections to search or chat with their content.
Full explanation
AskTuring offers Collections that contain preloaded, curated sets of documents. These may include public materials, reference texts, or organization-wide resources you can use without uploading any files yourself.
To access a Collection:
Click Collections in the left-hand menu.
You’ll see two tabs:
Community: Displays all available shared Collections.
Saved: Displays the Collections you’ve chosen to save for ongoing use.
Browse the list under Community and click Save to Collections for any Collection you’d like to add to your account.
Once saved, it will appear under your Saved tab for quick access.
Click on a saved Collection to open it and start chatting, searching, or exploring its documents just as you would in your own Projects.
When using a Collection, you can:
Search across all documents within the Collection.
Ask questions and receive answers sourced from the Collection’s content.
Click linked results to view the exact section or page in the original document.
Use Chat with Project Only mode to restrict results exclusively to that Collection.
Collections are read-only, so you cannot upload, modify, or delete their contents. However, you can download files if they are marked as available, or reference them directly in your chats.
Tips
Browse the Community tab regularly for new or updated Collections.
Save only the Collections that are most relevant to your work or research for quick access later.
If a Collection includes downloadable files, you can save them locally and add them to your own Projects for deeper analysis.
Collections cannot be edited, but they are automatically updated by AskTuring when new materials are added.
