Short answer

Click the three-dot menu next to your Project name, select Public Interface, then choose Create Interface, name it, configure the settings, and save.

Full explanation

The Public Interface feature lets you create a shareable chatbot that uses the content of a specific Project to answer questions. You can customize its welcome message, behavior, and appearance, and then embed it on your website or share it directly.

To create a Public Interface:

  1. Select the correct Project

    • At the top of the AskTuring app, make sure the Project you want to publish is active.

  2. Open the Public Interface settings

    • Click the three-dot menu next to your Project name.

    • Select Public Interface from the dropdown menu.

  3. Create a new interface

    • Click Active.

    • This opens the Public Interface setting menu

Once it’s live, your chatbot will use your Project’s content to generate accurate, cited answers while keeping your private data secure.

Tips

  • The Public Interface is always tied to the Project that was active when you created it.

  • To create a chatbot for another Project, switch Projects first and then set up a new interface.

  • You can duplicate an existing interface to reuse settings across multiple Projects.

  • Regularly update your welcome message and default prompts to match your Project’s latest content.
