Short answer

Response Personalities let you choose how AskTuring communicates, such as a Teacher, Coder, or Analyst, without changing the accuracy or security of the answers. The default personality is General, which provides balanced, straightforward responses suitable for any situation.

Full explanation

AskTuring allows you to adjust the personality or style of the AI’s responses to better match your task or audience. This setting changes the tone and approach of the output, while the underlying information remains secure, accurate, and consistent with your selected Project or AI-only mode.

You can select from several personalities:

  • General (default): Provides clear, balanced responses that are neutral in tone. Ideal for most questions and everyday use.

  • Teacher: Offers detailed, step-by-step explanations. Perfect for training sessions, onboarding, or explaining new concepts.

  • Coder: Uses precise technical language, includes examples, and explains implementation details. Great for software development, scripting, or troubleshooting.

  • Analyst: Focuses on patterns, data, and insights. Ideal for decision-making, reporting, and strategy-focused tasks.

This flexibility makes AskTuring more natural and adaptable to your workflow. Whether you are drafting a client report, creating educational materials, or writing technical documentation, you can select a tone that fits your audience and purpose.

If you do not select a personality, AskTuring defaults to General. You can switch personalities at any time without losing context or accuracy.

Tips

  • Pick the personality that best fits your audience or use case. For example, use Teacher for training and Coder for developer discussions.

  • You can switch personalities at any time during a conversation.

  • Remember that personality affects only tone and style, not factual accuracy or data security.

Examples

  • Law firm: Uses the Teacher personality to explain legal processes in plain, easy-to-understand language for junior associates.

  • Real estate company: Selects Analyst to summarize regional market trends and property performance data for a board presentation.

  • Manufacturing firm: Chooses Coder to generate Python scripts that automate quality-control reporting.

  • Financial services team: Switches from Teacher to onboard new analysts, then to Analyst for deep analysis of investment portfolio trends.
