Short answer
Response personalities let you choose how AskTuring communicates—such as a Teacher, Coder, or Analyst, without changing the accuracy or security of answers. The default persona is General, which provides balanced, straightforward responses suitable for any situation.
Full explanation
AskTuring now allows you to adjust the personality of AI responses. This feature changes the style and focus of the answers you receive, while the underlying information remains secure, accurate, and based on your Index or AI-only mode.
You can select from different personalities depending on your task:
General (default) – Provides clear, balanced responses without leaning toward a specific style. Ideal as the everyday default for a wide range of questions and use cases.
Teacher – Gives clear, step-by-step explanations. Ideal for learning new concepts or onboarding team members.
Coder – Uses technical language, provides code examples, and explains implementation details. Great for software development or troubleshooting.
Analyst – Focuses on data, trends, and insights. Useful for reports, decision-making, and strategic planning.
This flexibility makes the experience feel more natural, useful, and tailored to your needs, whether you’re working on client deliverables, internal training, or technical projects.
Note: If you don’t select a personality, AskTuring defaults to General.
Tips
Pick the personality that matches your audience - for example, use Teacher for non-technical staff and Coder for developers.
You can switch personalities at any time depending on your task.
Remember: personalities affect style, not accuracy. The same secure and reliable information is always used.
Examples
A law firm uses the Teacher personality to explain legal processes to junior associates in plain language.
A real estate company selects Analyst to summarize market data trends for an upcoming board presentation.
A manufacturing firm chooses Coder to generate Python scripts for automating quality-control reports.
A financial services team switches to Teacher to onboard new analysts, then to Analyst for deep trend analysis of investment portfolios.
