Short answer
As part of the upload process, you can select files or folders directly from cloud storage and add them to your Index without downloading them locally first.

Full explanation
AskTuring supports direct uploads from popular cloud storage services. This means that when you upload files, you can choose to pull them straight from cloud storage rather than your computer.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. From the left-hand menu, click Index Management.

  2. Choose either Upload File or Upload Folder.

  3. In the upload window that appears, click your preferred cloud storage service.

  4. Browse your files, select the ones you want, and confirm.

  5. Complete the upload and your files will appear in the chosen Index.

Your files will be added directly to the selected Index, making them instantly searchable and available in AskTuring.

Tips

  • Use Upload Folder if you want to bring in multiple documents at once.

  • Since uploads come directly from the cloud, you save time and avoid extra downloads to your computer.

Examples

  • A manufacturing firm adds safety manuals stored in cloud storage directly to a shared Index.

  • A financial services firm uploads investment reports from cloud storage, making them instantly searchable for analysts.
