Short answer
You can use images as Action triggers, and AskTuring will accept, store, and process them the same way it does other trigger files.

Full explanation

AskTuring now supports images as Action triggers, meaning images can directly initiate Actions in the same way documents and other files do. When an Action is triggered by images such as screenshots or photos, those images are reliably accepted by the system and treated as standard trigger inputs.

Images used as Action triggers are stored with the Action and appear wherever Action related files are shown, including Action history and related views. This ensures a consistent experience when reviewing what caused an Action to run.

Any features or workflows that run in response to an Action can access the image files that triggered it. This enables image-based workflows, such as reviewing uploaded photos, validating screenshots, or using images as inputs for automated processes, without requiring changes to existing non-image-based Actions.

Tips

  • Make sure images used as triggers are clear and relevant to the Action you want to run.

  • If an Action does not trigger as expected, check the Action history for error messages related to image processing.

  • You can continue using non image files as Action triggers exactly as before, alongside images if needed.

Examples

  • A local municipality allows inspectors to upload photos from the field, triggering Actions that store and route inspection records automatically.

  • A healthcare provider uses photos of referral forms as Action triggers to start a patient intake review process.

  • A construction firm uploads site photos that trigger an Action to log progress and notify project managers.

  • A marketing firm uses campaign screenshots as Action triggers to start an internal approval workflow.
