Summary

This article explains how to access your previous conversations and continue them in AskTuring.ai. Use this feature when you want to revisit past discussions, reference earlier answers, or continue a conversation from where you left off.

Prerequisites

  • You must have an active AskTuring.ai account

  • You must have had at least one previous chat session

  • Chat history is automatically saved—no manual saving required

Step-by-step Instructions

  1. Navigate to the chat interface in AskTuring.ai

  2. Locate the History section in the sidebar or navigation panel

  3. Browse your recent chats displayed in the History section—each chat is typically labeled with a preview of the conversation topic or your first question

  4. Click on the chat you want to resume

  5. The selected conversation will open, displaying your previous messages and AI responses

  6. Scroll through the conversation to review the context

  7. Type a new question or prompt in the chat input field to continue the conversation

  8. Press Enter or click Send—the AI will respond with context from your previous messages in this chat

Tips and Notes

  • Context continuity: When you resume a chat, the AI remembers the full conversation history, so you can ask follow-up questions without repeating background information

  • Chat organization: Recent chats appear at the top of the History section for easy access

  • Multiple topics: You can maintain separate chat threads for different topics or projects—each retains its own context

  • Search within history: Depending on your interface, you may be able to search for specific chats by keyword or topic

  • Starting fresh: If you want to start a completely new conversation without previous context, create a new chat instead of resuming an old one

  • History retention: Chat history is typically retained according to your workspace settings—check with your administrator if you need to know retention policies
