Summary

The Semantic Map helps you visually organize and manage terminology within your project. Use it to view, sort, edit, and curate term clusters to maintain consistent, searchable vocabularies across your project.

Prerequisites

  • You must have access to a project in AskTuring.ai

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open your project
Navigate to the project where you want to manage terms.

  2. Click the settings gear icon
Located at the top of the project menu.

  3. Select "Semantic Map"
This opens the Semantic Map interface where all project terms are displayed.

  4. Choose how to view and sort terms
The Semantic Map offers several sorting options to help you organize terms:

    • Alphabetical — Lists all terms in A-Z order

    • Alternatives — Shows alternative names or synonyms for terms

    • Confidence — Displays terms sorted by confidence score

    • Clusters — Groups related terms together by topic or category

    • Actions — Provides controls for managing individual terms

  5. Manage terms using Actions
Click on the Actions column for any term to:

    • Edit the term — Modify the term name or details

    • Move the term to another cluster — Reassign the term to a different category

    • Delete the term — Remove the term from your project

  6. Manually add a new term (optional)
Click the "New Term" button in the top right corner of the Semantic Map.

  7. Enter the new term title and save
Type the term name in the text field and click save to add it to your project.

Tips and Notes

  • Use the Clusters view to ensure related terms are grouped logically for better search results

  • The Confidence score indicates how strongly a term is associated with your project content — lower scores may need review

  • Moving terms between clusters helps refine how AskTuring.ai understands and retrieves information

  • Changes to the Semantic Map may take a few moments to reflect in search and chat results
