How to create a strategy focused on improving your ranking for Top Keywords

Most shoppers tend to stay on the first page of search results, and a highly effective method to ensure your product appears right there is by launching Sponsored Product Ranking Strategies. They serve as a potent tool to enhance the visibility of the most relevant keywords and boost sales for your products.

To begin with, you would need to focus mainly on a set of keywords you want to achieve a better ranking. These keywords can be identified through market research. They are usually limited in number. We are generally talking about a list of 5 to 10 exact keywords.

The algorithm allows you to focus your ad spend exclusively on these keywords. Since you are trying to improve your ranking, you must set an ambitious ACOS goal / Monthly Budget or high suggested bid (Force Product Visibility option). Otherwise, there is a risk that the bids computed by the AI will be conservative and you will experience difficulties competing with other Sellers.

The setup is the following

  1. Create a Strategy with the product(s) on which you want to improve the ranking

  2. Add a Tactic with the list of keywords you want to target to your strategy. We recommend limiting this list to 5 to 10 keywords targeted at exact

  3. Once you have completed the tactic setup, the last step is to make sure you focus your spending only on these keywords. To do this, go onto "Advanced Settings" and switch off the option "AI-powered targeting"
