What is the AstroCard?
The AstroCard is a prepaid card linked to your AstroPay wallet. You add funds in advance, and payments are deducted instantly. There are no issuance or monthly fees. You can use it anywhere Visa or Mastercard is accepted, including with Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Types of AstroCard
Local AstroCard (physical or virtual): for payments and ATM withdrawals in your country.
AstroCard Global (virtual only): for international payments.
Key differences
The Global Card is virtual only, except for LATAM Crew (BR).
The Global Card cannot be used locally in your country (except LATAM Crew BR).
Local cards cannot be used abroad.
The Global Card is activated automatically.
Any applicable IOF tax is covered by AstroPay.
Request a physical AstroCard
Open the AstroPay app and go to AstroCard.
Tap + on the right corner and select Physical.
Choose a design (if available) and confirm the request.
Confirm your delivery address.
If it's your first physical card, you will also receive a temporary virtual card to use right away.
Track your delivery
Open AstroCard, select the physical card, and tap the tracking link. In some areas, the courier may leave the card at a local branch.
View your card details
Go to AstroCard.
Tap Show data.
View your card number, expiration date, and CVV.
⚠️ Important: Never share your full card details. If support asks for confirmation, share only the last 4 digits.
ATM withdrawals
ATM withdrawals are available only locally. AstroPay does not charge ATM fees, but the ATM operator may. LATAM Crew members can make international ATM withdrawals with the first three being fee-free.
Add your card to Apple Pay or Google Pay
Open the app and go to AstroCard.
Select the card.
Tap Add to wallet and accept the terms.
To pay in-store, hold your phone near the contactless terminal and confirm the payment if prompted.
