What is Cashback?
Cashback is a form of reimbursement that you receive in your wallet when you make purchases using AstroPay. Basically, it’s money that returns to your account every time you use AstroPay for eligible purchases.
How does Cashback promotions work?
Use AstroPay to make purchases at establishments or services that participate in our cashback program. Depending on the promotion, you should:
Your AstroPay card.
Use AstroPay as payment method directly in the merchant site.
Make a specific movement on your AstroPay account.
Once the purchase is processed, you will receive a percentage of the amount spent as a refund directly into your wallet.
How to view active Cashback promotions?
Active cashbacks can be viewed both in the cards section and in the rewards section.
Rewards Section:
Exclusive Promos: Simply go to "Exclusive Promos" and you will find all the details about the available cashbacks and how to make the most of them.
Cards Section:
Today's Benefits: In your active card, you will see the cashback benefits available for today. If you select the "All" option, you can see all the active cashbacks we have.
From both sections, you can see the details of each cashback, including:
The days you can use the cashback.
Applicable limits.
How it works and more relevant information.
You can also access the terms and conditions that apply to each cashback. It is important that you read them to understand how to take advantage of these benefits fully.
Cashback Credit Timelines
AstroPay offers several cashback credit timelines based on different types of promotions:
General cashback promotions are credited within 24 hours.
Wallet payment rewards might take until the next business day to appear.
Physical store payment promotions and larger campaigns may require up to 7 or 30 days respectively. Check your app for specific timeline details related to active promotions.
I didn't receive the Cashback from a promo, what do I do?
If you are looking for help because you made a purchase and did not receive the cashback, follow these steps:
Check the promotion conditions
Technical Delays: Occasionally, system processing delays can slightly extend the crediting timeline.
Holidays and Weekends: Transactions processed during non-business days may cause minor delays in cashback crediting.
Partial Balances: Spending or withdrawing part of your eligible balance can reduce or void the promotion.
Make sure you met the requirements (minimum amount, eligible payment method, participating merchant, etc.).
Check the validity period: if the promotion expired, the cashback will not be applied.

Confirm the crediting timeframe
For most promotions, cashback is credited within 24 hours, but this can vary depending on the transaction type and promotion. Here are some key timelines to keep in mind:
Standard Cashback Timeframe: Cashback for general purchases is credited within 24 hours if there are no transaction issues. Payments to your AstroPay wallet may reflect on the next business day (e.g., at 19:00 UTC or 4:00 PM Brasília time).
Promotional Campaigns and Exceptions: Some promotions, like the 5% cashback for physical store payments, may take up to 7 days, while larger campaigns (e.g., MasterCard promotions) might require up to 30 days.
Outliers and Extended Timelines: Cashback for special deals like a 50% cashback bonus is typically credited within 24–48 hours, though there could be rare delays of up to 72 business hours or, in some cases, up to a maximum of 30 days.
