If you need to receive USD from a U.S. bank, setting up a USD Account (not just a USD wallet) gives you access to ACH bank transfers—a low-fee, widely-used system for domestic U.S. payments. Here’s how to get started.
What’s the difference between a USD Wallet and a USD Account?
USD Wallet: For holding, converting, and sending USD within the AstroPay platform. Supports P2P transfers.
USD Account: For receiving USD via ACH transfers from U.S. bank accounts. This works like having U.S. bank details linked to your AstroPay.
Important: Not all users are eligible for a USD Account. If you don’t see the option to get account details, this feature is not available for you yet.
How to create your USD Account
Open the AstroPay app and go to your USD Wallet.
Tap Get account details.
Note: If this button doesn’t appear, your account is not yet enabled for ACH transfers.
Enter your address information when prompted.
That’s it!
Once your account is ready, you’ll see your USD banking details (like routing and account number).
You can now use these details to receive payments via ACH.
