We know rewards matter, and change can be confusing. That’s why we’re making this update as clear and helpful as possible. This article explains what’s changing with AstroPoints in India, what stays the same, and what you can still do with your balance.
What’s changing?
Starting from April 30th, AstroPay will no longer deliver new AstroPoints in India.
You will not earn new points on transactions made in India after this date.
What stays the same?
Your existing AstroPoints are safe — nothing will be lost.
You can still redeem your points as usual.
Your wallet, payments, and transactions with AstroPay remain fully active and unchanged.
Why is this happening?
We’re evolving to bring you a better experience overall. In India, the cost of redeeming cashback through AstroPoints has increased, and we want to make sure every benefit we offer meets the high standard you expect from us.
Instead of offering a reward that may no longer add value, we’re shifting our focus to improving the core AstroPay experience—making transactions faster, safer, and simpler for you.
Will I lose my points?
No. Every AstroPoint you’ve already earned is still yours and can be redeemed whenever you like.
Can I still use AstroPay?
Yes. This update does not affect your:
Wallet
Transaction capabilities
International transfers
Account access or support
Everything works as usual—just without new AstroPoints in India.
What’s next?
We’re investing in new features to improve how you send, spend, and manage money globally.
