The Special Return Mechanism (MED) is a resource created by the Central Bank of Brazil to dispute PIX transfers made in cases of account invasion or fraud. It allows financial institutions to analyze the case and, when possible, attempt to recover the transferred funds.

A MED request is only opened after an initial review by our team to confirm that the situation qualifies under Central Bank rules.

How can I open a MED?

If you were a victim of fraud or had your account compromised, you can request a MED directly in the app:

  1. Go to your transaction history and select the PIX transfer you want to dispute.

  2. Tap Dispute.

  3. Answer the questions about what happened. The app will confirm if a MED can be opened.

  4. Upload the complete Police Report in PDF format (required).

After submission, our team will contact you at your registered email, usually within 24 hours.

Important to know

  • A MED can be requested within 80 days of the PIX transaction.

  • Opening a MED does not guarantee a refund, as the outcome depends on the analysis of the receiving financial institution.

  • The Police Report must be complete and uploaded as a PDF. Incomplete documents or screenshots may delay the process.

If needed, contact support through the app for guidance during the review process.
