What is SEPA and IBAN?
SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) is a standard for bank transfers in Europe. It allows you to send and receive EUR payments between SEPA-participating countries as easily as local transfers.
IBAN (International Bank Account Number) is the format used to identify bank accounts within SEPA. It ensures transfers are routed correctly and securely.
AstroPay gives you access to personal account details (including an IBAN) to send and receive funds in EUR.
How to open an IBAN account in AstroPay
Go to your AstroPay Account.
Select the EUR wallet.
Click Obtain account details and complete the form.
Share your IBAN to receive money.
How to receive money via IBAN
Open your EUR wallet.
Get your IBAN/account details.
Share them with the sender.
Sender can use SEPA to transfer the funds.
Processing time: usually 0–2 working days for the recipient to get the funds.
How to send money via IBAN
Open a EUR wallet/account.
Go to Transfer > Send to International Account.
Enter the recipient's IBAN and details.
Confirm and send.
