Sometimes a fraudster may use your information to create an AstroPay account and receive a payment meant for you. Here’s how we handle it.

Steps to follow:

  1. Provide details about the transfer, such as PIX key or account number.

  2. Our team will verify the destination account linked to your information.

  3. If the account was created without your knowledge:

    • We will suspend the account to prevent misuse.

    • Remove any active payment keys linked to the account.

  4. If no money was lost:

    • You will be informed that keys were removed and the case will be closed.

  5. If money was stolen:

    • The case will be escalated to our specialized fraud team.

    • You will be informed that your report is being handled by the fraud department.

Safety tips:

  • Always check the account before sending or receiving money.

  • Avoid sharing personal information with unknown people.

  • Report suspicious transactions immediately.
