AstroPay now allows you to send and receive money in Mexico using your CLABE account number through the SPEI system (Interbank Electronic Payment System). This is a fast and secure way to move money between banks.
What are CLABE and SPEI?
CLABE: An 18-digit unique bank account number in Mexico that identifies your account for transfers.
SPEI: The real-time interbank transfer system used in Mexico, enabling immediate payments.
Who can use it?
Available only for Mexican users with valid local documentation.
How to activate your CLABE account in AstroPay
Open the AstroPay app.
Go to your MXN wallet.
Tap Get account details.
Enter the requested information.
⚠️ The account is not created automatically — you need to complete the activation process.
Unable to Create a CLABE/SPEI Account
Before contacting us, please check:
Are you a foreign user without valid Mexican documentation?
Is your app up to date with the latest version?
Could it be a temporary system issue? (try again later)
➡️ If you fall into any of these cases, it will not be possible to create your CLABE account.
If none of these apply and you still cannot create your CLABE, note the error message that appears and share it with support.
