AstroPay allows you to send money instantly between AstroPay accounts, even in different currencies, without extra fees. This is a fast and convenient way to transfer funds internationally or domestically between users.
How to Make a Transfer
Open the app and tap Send > Contacts.
Select the contact of the recipient. You can also select from recent contacts.
Enter the amount to send and the currency. Choose the currency the recipient will receive, but remember that for international transfers, the amount can only be sent in USD.
Confirm the transaction. The amount will be deducted from your wallet, and you will see the confirmation in your transactions.
If the Recipient Doesn’t Have an AstroPay Account
The recipient will receive an SMS notifying them of the transfer and instructions to download the app and register.
If the app is not downloaded within 24 hours, the funds will be returned to the sender.
Using AstroTag to Find a Contact
AstroTag is a username linked to your AstroPay account that helps other users find you for transfers.
Creating an AstroTag:
Go to your profile, and just below your photo and name, you’ll see the AstroTag field. You can create your AstroTag there and share it with your friends who also have an AstroPay account.
Searching by AstroTag:
Tap Send > To a contact, then enter the recipient’s AstroTag.
Remember: the person must already be in your contact list to use AstroTag.
