If you are an AstroPay Infinite user in Argentina with a USD wallet, you can receive US dollars by transferring funds from your own Argentine bank account through a CBU. Only transfers from accounts under the same name as your AstroPay account are accepted.

How it works

When you create a USD CBU in AstroPay, we assign:

  • A CBU number linked to AstroPay, where your funds will be directed

  • Your CUIL/CUIT, taken from the identity document you used to create your AstroPay wallet

To receive USD, you must initiate a transfer from a bank account that is registered under the same name and CUIL/CUIT as your AstroPay account. Incoming transfers usually take 24 to 48 hours to appear in your AstroPay USD wallet.

Create your USD CBU

  1. Open the AstroPay app and go to your USD wallet.

  2. Tap Get account under CBU in USD.

  3. Review the welcome information about CBU transfers.

  4. Tap Continue — your CBU account will be created instantly.

  5. Copy the CBU number displayed in the app. You will use it to set up the transfer from your bank.

Send USD from your bank to AstroPay

From your Argentine bank account, initiate a USD transfer to the CBU number shown in the AstroPay app. Make sure the bank account you are sending from is registered under the same name and CUIL/CUIT as your AstroPay account.

If your bank requests additional details, use:

  • Account holder: AstroPay legal entity name (as shown in the app)

  • Alias: AstroPay alias (as shown in the app)

The account holder name displayed will be AstroPay's legal entity rather than your personal name — this is expected and correct.

When a transfer may be rejected

Transfers are rejected and returned to the sender when:

  • The bank account you are sending from is not registered under the same name as your AstroPay account

  • The CUIL/CUIT registered in your AstroPay account is missing, incorrect, or does not match (for example, a DNI was entered instead of a CUIL)

To avoid issues, make sure your AstroPay account has the correct CUIL/CUIT and that you are sending from a bank account under the same name.

Exchange and regulatory requirements

If you convert ARS to USD within your AstroPay wallet, you will be asked to confirm a tax declaration (DDJJ), as required by Argentine regulations. This is a standard compliance requirement for currency exchange operations.
