ACH (Automated Clearing House) is the electronic bank transfer network used in the United States to send and receive USD. By activating a USD Account in AstroPay, you get real US banking details that let you receive ACH transfers directly into your balance.

What is ACH?

ACH is a low-fee payment network that handles electronic transfers between US bank accounts. It is commonly used for direct deposits, payroll, and person-to-person payments. Transfers typically settle within 1–3 business days.

USD Wallet vs USD Account

AstroPay offers two different USD tools:

  • USD Wallet: For holding, converting, and sending USD within AstroPay, including P2P transfers.

  • USD Account: For receiving USD via ACH from US bank accounts. This gives you actual US banking details linked to your AstroPay.

ℹ️ Note: You need to activate a USD Account to receive ACH transfers. The USD Wallet alone does not support this.

Your US banking details

Once your USD Account is active, you will receive:

  • Routing number: Identifies the bank or financial institution.

  • Account number: Your unique identifier for receiving transfers.

You can share these details with anyone sending you USD from a US bank account.

Fees

AstroPay does not charge fees to receive USD via ACH. Any fees applied by the sender's or recipient's bank are outside our control — check with the bank involved for details.

Eligibility

Not all AstroPay accounts have access to a USD Account. If the option is not visible in your app, this feature is not yet available for your account.
