PIX (Sistema de Pagamento Instantâneo) is Brazil's official instant payment system, created and regulated by the Central Bank of Brazil. It allows instant transfers between bank accounts and digital wallets — free of charge, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays.

Transfers are made using a PIX key (CPF, phone number, email, or random key) or a QR code. Funds are credited in seconds, with no waiting period regardless of the time or day.

Brazilian AstroPay users can receive PIX transfers directly in the app by going to Receive and selecting PIX.
