Understand your COELSA ID in AstroPay

Learn what your COELSA ID is, where to find it on your proof of transfer, and how to use it to check any CVU transfer in Argentina.

Written by Nina Montero

The COELSA ID is a unique alphanumeric code generated for every transfer made through Argentina's CVU/CBU system. It's created by COELSA — Argentina's electronic interbank clearing network — and identifies one specific transfer.

A different COELSA ID is generated for each transfer, so it works as the transaction's unique fingerprint.

Where to find your COELSA ID

  1. Open the proof of transfer (comprobante) issued by the bank or wallet that sent the money.

  2. Look for a field labeled COELSA ID, ID COELSA, or Coelsa operation number.

  3. It's an alphanumeric code unique to that transfer.

What it's used for

  • The COELSA ID lets you check or verify a specific transfer.

  • It can be used to check any CVU transfer across all banks and digital wallets in Argentina — not just transfers involving AstroPay.

  • If a transfer is delayed or doesn't appear in your balance, share the COELSA ID with support so the transaction can be located in the clearing system.
