Before you can use your AstroCard, you need to activate it in the AstroPay app. Activation takes just a few steps and is required for both virtual and physical cards.
Activate your virtual AstroCard
Open the AstroPay app and go to the AstroCard section.
Tap Activate card.
Follow the on-screen steps to complete activation.
Once activated, your virtual card is ready to use immediately for online purchases.
Activate your physical AstroCard
Open the AstroPay app and go to the AstroCard section.
Tap Activate card.
Enter the last 4 digits printed on your physical card.
Follow the on-screen steps to complete activation.
Once activated, your physical card is ready to use in stores and online.
ℹ️ Note: Make sure you have enough balance in your AstroPay account before making your first purchase.
Things to know
Each card must be activated before its first use.
If you requested a new card to replace an expired one, you need to activate the new card separately.
Activation is instant — there's no waiting period once the steps are completed.
