If you see a charge on your AstroCard that you don't recognize, act quickly to protect your account.
Before reporting it as fraud
Some transactions may look unfamiliar but are legitimate. Check the following first:
The merchant name shown may differ from the store name you recognize — this is common with payment processors.
A pending authorization may appear before the final charge is posted.
Subscriptions or free trials you signed up for may have started billing.
Check with family members who may share access to your account.
If the transaction is genuinely unrecognized
Open the AstroPay app and go to Transaction History.
Find the transaction and tap on it for full details.
If you don't recognize it, tap Report a problem or Dispute transaction.
Follow the steps to submit your dispute.
⚠️ Important: If you suspect your card details have been compromised, pause your AstroCard immediately from the AstroCard section in the app while you investigate.
What happens after you report it
We'll review your dispute and keep you updated on the outcome. During the investigation, the disputed amount may be temporarily held. Resolution times vary depending on the nature of the transaction.
