You can pay on any website that accepts Mastercard with your AstroCard. Payments are charged directly to your AstroPay balance — no need to top up a separate card account.
How to pay online
At checkout, select Credit or debit card and choose Mastercard.
Open the AstroPay app, go to the AstroCard section, and tap View card details.
Enter your AstroCard number, expiry date, and CVV on the merchant's payment page.
Submit the payment and complete 3D Secure authentication when prompted.
Complete 3D Secure authentication
For added security, online purchases may require 3D Secure (3DS) verification. When prompted:
You'll receive a push notification or in-app prompt from AstroPay.
Open the AstroPay app and confirm the purchase using your PIN or biometrics.
Return to the merchant's page to see the payment confirmed.
💡 Tip: Always make sure push notifications are enabled for the AstroPay app. If a 3D Secure prompt doesn't arrive, enabling notifications usually resolves the issue.
ℹ️ Note: 3D Secure prompts time out after a few minutes. If you miss the prompt, you'll need to retry the purchase on the merchant's site.
If your purchase is declined
Check that your AstroPay balance covers the full amount, including any currency conversion.
Confirm your AstroCard is not paused or blocked from the AstroCard section.
Make sure you entered the card number, expiry, and CVV correctly.
If the issue persists, try again or use a different merchant page.
⚠️ Important: Never share your AstroCard details outside a trusted merchant's checkout page. AstroPay will never ask you for your card number or CVV.
