Understand the IBAN EUR transfer fee

Learn how the IBAN EUR transfer fee works: 2.50 EUR standard, 0.50 EUR for Europe, and full exemptions for Brazil, expats, and Infinite members.

Written by Product

IBAN EUR transfers may include a small fee to cover the cost of processing SEPA/IBAN payments. The amount depends on your country, nationality, loyalty tier, and whether the transfer is incoming or outgoing. The exact fee is always shown before you confirm the transfer.

Standard fee

If no exemption or reduction applies to your account, a flat 2.50 EUR fee is charged on each IBAN EUR transfer — both incoming and outgoing. The fee doesn't depend on the amount sent or received.

Reduced fee for European residents

If you're registered in an eligible European country, you pay:

  • 0.50 EUR on outgoing transfers.

  • Free on incoming transfers.

Eligible countries: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Montenegro, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Great Britain, and the Isle of Man.

Who is fully exempt

You pay no IBAN EUR fee on any transfer if:

  • You're registered in Brazil.

  • You live in Europe with a Latin American nationality (expat exemption).

  • You're a LATAM Airlines employee, as part of our corporate partnership.

  • You're an active Infinite member, within your 3 free monthly transfers.

Free transfers for Infinite members

If you have an active Infinite subscription, you get 3 free IBAN EUR transfers within a 30-day rolling window from your subscription start date. Once you use the 3 free transfers, the standard fee applies until the window resets with your next subscription cycle.

💡 Tip: If you activate Infinite on April 14, your 3 free transfers are available until May 13. On May 14, a new 30-day window starts with your subscription renewal.

Things to know

  • The Infinite benefit applies only while your subscription is active. If it expires or is canceled, the standard fee applies again.

  • The fee only applies to IBAN transfers in EUR — not to other currencies or transfer methods.

  • You can review the exact fee charged on each transaction in your Transaction History.
