You can use your AstroCard for streaming services, software subscriptions, and any merchant that supports recurring card payments. Each charge is deducted automatically from your AstroPay balance on the merchant's billing schedule.
How to set up a subscription
At checkout, select Credit or debit card and choose Mastercard.
Open the AstroPay app, go to the AstroCard section, and tap View card details.
Enter your card number, expiry date, and CVV on the merchant's page.
Complete 3D Secure verification when prompted.
Confirm the subscription on the merchant's side.
From then on, the merchant will charge your AstroCard automatically on the schedule you agreed to — monthly, yearly, or otherwise.
Identify recurring charges
You can review every charge in Transaction History. Recurring charges typically:
Show the same merchant name at regular intervals.
Are charged for the same or similar amount each time.
Appear automatically without an in-app confirmation, since you authorized them when setting up the subscription.
💡 Tip: Keep enough balance in your wallet a few days before each renewal. If the charge fails, the merchant may pause or cancel your subscription.
Cancel a subscription
To stop a recurring charge, cancel the subscription directly with the merchant — AstroPay can't cancel them on your behalf. Each merchant has its own cancellation process, usually under Account settings or Billing on their site or app.
If a charge appears after canceling
Verify with the merchant that the subscription was fully canceled and the billing cycle ended.
Keep your cancellation confirmation as proof.
If the charge is incorrect, open the transaction in your Transaction History and tap Dispute transaction to report it.
