What's changing? Starting September 9, 2026, requesting a physical AstroPay card in Argentina and Brazil comes with a one-time issuance fee of USD 5.

This fee covers the cost of producing and shipping your physical card.

Your virtual card is not affected — it remains completely free, as always.

Standard users

If you're an Infinite user, you'll continue to receive your physical card at no cost. Want to avoid the fee? You can [upgrade to Infinite] to unlock this and other benefits.

How does the charge work?

  1. Tap "Request physical card" in the app.

  2. You'll see a confirmation screen showing the fee (USD 5, or USD 0 if you're exempt).

  3. Nothing is charged until you tap "Confirm."

  4. Once confirmed:

    • If your card request is successful, the fee is charged and your card is shipped.

    • If the charge fails (for example, insufficient balance), your card is not created and you are not charged.

What if my card request is rejected?

If your physical card request is rejected after you've been charged, the USD 5 fee is automatically refunded to your AstroPay balance. You don't need to contact support or open a ticket for this.

Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

Once your card has been created and shipped, the USD 5 fee is non-refundable. That's why we show you the fee and ask for confirmation before any charge is made — so you can decide before your card is produced.
