How to Request Time Off

Guide to Requesting Time Off as a Staff Member

1. Initiate Time Off Request 0:00

  • Click on 'Time Off'.

  • Select 'New Request'.

  • If no reason is typed, it will default to 'Unavailable'.


2. Request Time Off for a Single Day 0:16

  • Choose the specific day you want off (e.g., going on vacation).

  • Confirm the selection to complete the request.


3. Request Time Off for Multiple Days 0:23

  • Select a range of days (e.g., Thursday through Sunday).

  • Optionally, add a start time (e.g., leaving at 9am) and an end time (e.g., returning by 1pm).

  • Note: This applies to the entire block of days.


4. Set Up Recurring Time Off 1:00

  • Select a single day to start the recurring request (e.g., May 22nd).

  • Specify the days you need off (e.g., every Tuesday and Thursday).

  • Add a reason for the time off (e.g., football practice).


5. Define Time for Recurring Days 1:16

  • Set the time for each occurrence (e.g., 3pm to 5pm).

  • Choose how long the recurrence lasts:

    • No end date.

    • Specific end date.

    • A set number of occurrences (e.g., 20 times).


6. Save and Send Request 2:03

  • After setting the parameters, save the request.

  • Optionally, set an end date for the recurrence (e.g., June 28th).

  • Click 'Send Request' to submit.


7. Confirmation of Request 2:28

  • After sending, click 'Done' to see the status of your request.

  • Note: This is the initial version of the Time Off and Availability feature.


8. Future Updates 2:28

  • Be aware that future versions will provide more options for indicating availability.
