This tutorial will walk you through the process of viewing and claiming open shifts in your scheduling system. Open shifts are unassigned shifts that your administrator (admin) has made available for qualified employees to pick up.
Viewing Open Shifts
Log in to your account.
From your home screen, you'll see your currently scheduled shifts.
To view available shifts, toggle the "Show open shifts" option to "on".
This will display any open shifts that you are qualified to work.
Claiming a Shift
Scroll through the list of open shifts to find one that interests you.
Before claiming, you'll be able to see all the relevant details for each shift (e.g., date, time, location, who else is working that shift, etc.).
Once you've found a suitable shift, select "Claim this shift".
Important Note: Depending on your administrator's settings, some shifts may require approval before they are added to your schedule. The system will notify you if approval is needed.
If no approval is required, the shift will be immediately added to your schedule.
Adding Notes (Optional)
Before finalizing your claim, you may have the option to add notes for your administrator(s) or message them directly regarding the shift.
Once you claim the shift, you're all set! The shift will be successfully added to your schedule. You got it!
