Summary of Atlas's pricing

  • Atlas is available in three plans–Free, Standard, and Premium

  • The Free plan is free up to 35,000 users 😀

  • The Standard and Premium plans require a paid subscription

  • Atlas adopts a “per-user” pricing model, meaning you only pay for the number of users who you have chosen to give access to Atlas on your Atlassian site

  • Standard starts at $3/mo per user and Premium starts at $6/mo per user

  • Pricing is progressive, so the more users you have, the lower the average price per user

  • You can have one Atlas workspace per Atlassian site and each Atlas workspace can be subscribed to a different plan (Free, Standard, or Premium)

  • You will be billed for each Atlas workspace subscribed to a paid plan

  • Initially, we will only support monthly billing in USD

  • We will support annual billing and additional currencies in the future

  • Atlas is only available as a Cloud product, and not on Data Center or Server

You can start a free trial of paid plans at any time from the settings menu in Atlas:

Site admins can manage your Atlas subscription in Atlassian Admin under Billing.

What is a user of Atlas for pricing purposes?

An Atlas user is any user who has been granted access to log in to Atlas on your Atlassian site, and who exists in Atlassian Admin.

How does progressive per-user pricing work?

The more users you have, the lower the price per user:

Users

Standard

Premium

1 - 100

US $3.00/user/mo

US $6.00/user/mo

101 - 500

US $2.00/user/mo

US $4.00/user/mo

501+

US $1.00/user/mo

US $2.00/user/mo

Example scenario #1:

If you have 118 users with access to Atlas, your monthly subscription would be calculated as follows:

  1. First 100 users @ $3/user/mo = $300

  2. Next 18 users @ $2/user/mo = $36

Total monthly cost = $336

Example scenario #2:

If you have 520 users with access to Atlas, your monthly subscription would be calculated as follows:

  1. First 100 users @ $3/user/mo = $300

  2. Next 400 users @ $2/user/mo = $800

  3. Last 20 users @ $1/user/mo = $20

Total monthly cost = $1,120

What's the difference between the free and paid plans?

The Free plan includes all the features available while Atlas was in beta and allows for up to 35,000 users.

To start, the Standard and Premium plans include three new features–goal scoring, private projects, and audit logs. We have plenty of additional features and improvements coming soon.

What happens if I want to start using paid features on the Free plan?

You can start a free trial of the Standard or Premium plans at any time. No payment information is required, and you can cancel at any time.

What happens at the end of my free trial of a paid plan?

During your free trial, you’ll receive reminders to update your payment details to ensure uninterrupted service. At the end of your free trial, you will be downgraded to the Free plan. During your free trial, you can add payment details or downgrade to the Free plan yourself.

How am I charged for my use of Atlas?

You are billed monthly for each Atlas workspace subscribed to a paid plan based on the number of users with access to Atlas in Atlassian Admin.

You can have one Atlas workspace per Atlassian site, and many Atlassian sites per Atlassian organization.

How does billing work if I also pay for other Atlassian products?

If you're an existing Atlassian customer, you may be billed separately for Atlas. Site admins can manage subscriptions in Atlassian Admin under Billing.
