What information and documents are required to open an account?

Documentation required for opening an account

To open an account, you must complete the onboarding form and provide the following information and documents.

Required information

  • Registered company name

  • Country of company registration

  • Company registration number

  • Registered company address

  • Company website

  • Name of the authorised person (must be the Ultimate Beneficial Owner)

  • Email address of the authorised person

  • Source of funds

Required documents

  • Proof of address for the UBO or director (dated within the last 3 months)

  • Proof of identity for the UBO or director

  • Company or director bank statement (dated within the last 3 months and showing a full month of transactions)

  • Certificate of incorporation (full version, including share register or PSC01)

What documents are accepted as proof of residential address?

The following documents are accepted as proof of address:

  • Utility bill or bank statement dated within the last 3 months (full, unredacted copy)

  • Driving licence (must be in date and provided as a clear photograph with no glare or blur, not a photocopy, showing all four corners of both the front and back)

What documents are accepted for proof of identity?

The following forms of identification are accepted:

  • Passport (must be in date and signed, provided as a photograph showing all four corners)

  • Driving licence (if not used as proof of address; must be in date and provided as a clear photograph with no glare or blur, not a photocopy, showing all four corners of both the front and back)

  • National identity card (must be in date and provided as a clear photograph with no glare or blur, not a photocopy, showing all four corners)

What documents are accepted for the Certificate of Incorporation/Formation Certificate?

Please provide a full certificate of incorporation downloaded from Companies House.
If the company name has changed, you must also provide:

  • The original certificate of incorporation, and

  • A Companies House document confirming the name change.

What documents are acceptable as source of funds?

  • Newly incorporated companies (less than one year old):
    Director bank statement dated within the last 3 months (full, unredacted copy).

  • Companies operating for more than one year:
    Business bank account statement dated within the last 3 months (full, unredacted copy).
